A wedding ceremony is the most important part of your wedding day and in some respects the biggest moment of your life. After the ceremony the natural inclination of every happy couple  is to celebrate this momentous occasion. This is the time for you and your family and friends to get together and enjoy the happiest day of both your lives.

Choosing the right venue for your wedding celebrations is important and finding the right one for the reception you have in mind is paramount. There are all sorts of venues available to you and some of them can represent a significant investment for a couple.

Having a wedding at Ard-Aulinn is a unique and prestigious yet affordable way of celebrating your wedding day.

 

To give you a better idea we will describe a typical wedding at Ard-Aulinn

 

The bride and groom may check in a few days before with family members to make sure the necessary arrangements are in place.

Early in the morning of the wedding we will arrange for the make up artist and hair designers to visit the house to pamper and prepare the bride, bridesmaids and anyone else who requires assistance. We can offer a selection of local professionals at reasonable prices.

 

We will help book the ceremony, civil or at a church. If Civil, we can arrange at our partner hotels residence, which is a few hundred meters away, or a church, either catholic or protestant are available, however this takes more time to book and arrange. 

 

We can arrange for limousines, horse drawn carriages or more discreet transportation which will collect the bride at Ard-Aulinn. Again we can offer the services of a few local professional.

 

You may want a professional video cameraman and photographer. Flowers at the ceremony, and Ard-Aulinn if necessary. We will help you arrange.

 

After the ceremony you will return back to Ard-Aulinn and be greeted by your guests with a champagne reception, and prepare for the party of a lifetime. This is a good time for the photographer to take the photos in our gardens, weather permitting.

 

At Ard-Aulinn we can prepare a number of meal options, depending on the number of guests and budget you have for your meals.

Previous weddings have been buffet style arranged by local caterers. Ard-Aulinn comfortably caters for up to 60 people between the bar and living/dining room. However if you prefer a more formal setting we can arrange a seated meal but this would limit numbers to around 30 if you decided to eat in the bar. If you plan for larger numbers then we suggest a marquee. We have facilities for a marquee on the lawn just across from the bar which would provide a covered (dry) walkway from one to the other. With marquees, we can cater for numbers up to 120 seated. We can offer the services of a number of catering companies and marquee providers.

 

Obviously there are many different traditions at weddings of different cultures but all will have a wedding cake, again we will help arrange for you with various options depending on your budget.

 

Once your guests have enjoyed their meal, your speeches are over then its time for a good old fashioned party. We have facilities for a fully equipped professional bar. As we don’t have a license to sell alcohol we can invite one of the local bars to provide a temporary license or you may wish to provide the alcohol for your friends and family. We have facilities for draft Carlsberg and Guinness. The music we can offer a number of small local  bands, a DJ or just use the state of the art Bose sound system to play you own playlists from your Ipod.

 

After a few hours of dancing and having a good time we would suggest a light evening meal, which the caterers would prepare then party to the wee hours of the morning.

 

We can help you arrange taxis or buses if necessary to ferry your guests home.

 

As you retire for the evening you will be able to reflect on a stress free maginifcent day.
